As an aircraft maintenance technician, Tomas Zeman works day in and day out around hydraulic fluid and engine oil, enduring extreme heat and bitter cold in harsh working conditions. It wasn't until he discovered Fenix that he found his ideal lighting solution built for the most demanding tasks, a reliable partner he can always count on at work.

During aircraft maintenance, proper lighting is absolutely critical. Even the slightest lack of visibility can lead to missed defects, from loose fasteners and subtle oil traces to potential engine wear. A dependable light is truly a maintenance technician’s “second pair of eyes,” directly affecting inspection efficiency and flight safety.

I have tried many different lighting brands in the past. Some were decent, but none could stand up to my harsh working environment. Some failed due to exposure to oil and hydraulic fluids, others lacked sufficient battery life and disrupted my work, and many simply didn’t perform well enough across different scenarios. To compare more options, I even borrowed lights from my colleagues, only to find most of them were already using Fenix flashlights and headlamps.

A year ago, I decided to give Fenix a try. Since then, Fenix lighting tools have become essential equipment in my daily work. They have fully integrated into my routine and withstood all kinds of severe tests without letting me down. Whether in oil-covered work areas, outdoor summer heat, or high-altitude winter operations, they have never failed me, performing reliably and solving all the problems I once faced.

I have also been impressed by their outstanding battery efficiency. As someone who works outdoors for long hours, reliable charging opportunities are not always available. Fortunately, a single charge of my Fenix lights easily lasts an entire workday, boosting efficiency and giving me greater peace of mind.

When inspecting engines for oil leaks, the UV function of WF25RM has been incredibly helpful. During walk-around inspections, I need a focused spotlight for checking wings and tail sections, and a broad floodlight for examining the fuselage, landing gear, and engines.

My LD45R handles both perfectly thanks to its adjustable digital focus.

And when I need to work hands-free, I rely on my HM75R, which also delivers both spotlight and floodlight modes.

I also keep a PD32R in my car at all times, because you never know when you might need a reliable light.

My appreciation for Fenix is clear in every work video I post on social media. These lights have been with me for every inspection, and Fenix is a brand I wholeheartedly recommend to fellow technicians.

Only time will tell what the future holds, but for now, I am more than satisfied with every Fenix light in my collection. Trust me—once you try them, you’ll love them too.
