A Loyal User from Chile: Thousands of Days and Nights with Fenix
Light doesn’t only shine for adventures and rescues, but also for those quiet, warm daily moments that make ordinary days special. For those who keep small animals and stick to gentle nightly routines, a reliable light becomes a quiet companion, accompanying every careful and loving step. This is the heartwarming daily story shared by one of our Fenix users, about the warm bond between her, her lovely chickens and rabbits, and her trusty Fenix lights.
When it’s already dark outside by 6 p.m. in mid-February, my nightly routine begins: bringing my chickens and rabbits indoors from outside into their coops. For some time now, I’ve been using two excellent Fenix lights – the Fenix E35R flashlight and a Fenix camping lantern. They complement each other perfectly in every nightly chore.

I first hang the camping lantern by the outdoor coop of some of the chickens to illuminate the area. The chickens then know that I’m coming to get them. The rooster announces this with a short cluck. Rooster ‘Toni’ and hen ‘Diva’ readily let me pick them up and carry them to their cozy coop.

Once these two are settled, we head to the other chicken coop in the back garden. The light is still on, but the hens and rooster are already roosting peacefully. With the Fenix E35R flashlight, I can easily light up the dark path leading there, making every step safe and steady. Being able to see clearly in the garden at night is incredibly important; otherwise, I could easily step into one of the many holes the rabbits have dug, or trip and injure my foot.

Now I put away the remaining 7 chickens… Good night, my dears. Now the lights are turned off… Bye-bye, sleep well…
The camping lantern hangs from a small willow tree and lights up the surroundings nicely. I keep it on medium brightness, avoiding the highest setting at night, as it might disturb wild birds such as pigeons or crows.

I go down into the rabbit cellar to turn on the light so the rabbits can come inside. The rabbits get their evening food ration, and I refill their water to make sure they stay comfortable.

Here we have a particularly handsome fellow named ‘Schecki’. ‘Cindy’, one of my beloved and well-behaved rabbits, is 6 years old now, and she has given me many lovely, sweet baby rabbits over the years.

Now I attach the Fenix camping lantern to an oleander bush to brighten up this area. This light is necessary because the rabbits won’t enter the building without it – they feel safe and calm only with the soft glow.

The Fenix flashlight stays with me during the entire 2–3 hours I spend caring for the rabbits every single night. It has become absolutely indispensable to my daily routine. I’ve owned many flashlights before, but none have been as good as my Fenix. It is worth every penny, without a doubt.

Thanks to the Fenix flashlight, I won’t miss a single rabbit, even in the darkest spots! Now hop off to the barn safely!

Here we have ‘Lohtschi’, a neutered male rabbit who has appointed himself the guard of the group. He only goes inside once all the other rabbits are safely indoors. Then he does one last lap around the garden to make sure no rabbits are left outside, a little guardian in his own right.

The camping lantern also proves very practical when working in the fields at night. It features a strong magnetic attachment, so it can be attached to the vehicle body easily and lights up the surroundings well, allowing me to finish necessary work with ease and efficiency.

I even attach the flashlight to the roof of a bird aviary using the magnet sometimes, which is super convenient.

I hope these Fenix lights will last for many years to come. I use them for several hours every single day, and I truly wouldn’t want to be without them anymore. They are not just tools, but warm companions that light up my quiet nightly routines.
Thank you, Fenix, for creating such durable, practical and amazing products that bring warmth and convenience to ordinary daily life!
