The WH35RE is an intrinsically safe explosion-proof headlamp intended for various areas at risk of explosion, excluding underground mines. It delivers a maximum output of 280 lumens and supports USB Type-C charging. Featuring a right-angled light design, the headlamp can be used as a flashlight or chest light when removed from its mount. Its large switch allows for simple and accurate operation - even with gloves on. The WH35RE was certified by several explosion-proof certifications, including IECEx, ATEX, and GRGT. Therefore, this product is safe to use in explosive atmospheres classified as Zone 1 and Zone 2, as well as in combustible dust areas classified as Zone 21 and Zone 22. This includes environments such as petroleum, chemical, and textile industries, firefighting, metallurgical areas, power stations, and paper plants, etc.

Q4. What are the special conditions of use for WH35RE?

A:

  • When charging, use the included charging protector to protect the inner intrinsically-safe circuit.
  • Use only Fenix ARB-L21-3000Ex rechargeable Li-ion battery.
  • Do not use in explosive atmospheres if the headlamp is with missing parts (especially for dust cap of charging socket) or the shell of it is obviously broken.
  • Ambient temperature rating: -35°c to 45°c.
  •  Can safely be used in explosive gas atmospheres Zone 1 and 2, as well as in explosive dust atmospheres Zone 21 and 22.

A: No, it can't.

Q6.What kind of LEDis used in WH35RE?

A: Utilizes two CREE XP-G3 LEDs; with a lifespan of 50,000 hours each.

Q7. What is the color temperature of WH35RE?

A: Around 5000K.

Q8. What is the working voltage of WH35RE?

A: 3.0 V-4.2 V.

Q9. What kind of battery can be used in WH35RE?

A: For your safety, only use a Fenix ARB-L21-3000Ex rechargeable battery. Other batteries are not recommended, as an unmatched battery may cause the headlamp to fail to work normally.

Q10. Why does the WH35RE happen to flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the headlamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the battery. (Do NOT recharge or replace the battery in explosive atmospheres.)

2. The contact or contact point of the battery or headlamp is dirty.  

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. (Do NOT open the headlamp in explosive atmospheres.)

Q11. What should I do when the WH35RE needs repair?

A: 1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.

2. 5-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 5 years (rechargeable battery and other accessories: 1 year) of purchase if problems develop with normal use.

3. Lifetime limited warranty: If repair is required after 5 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.

4. Warranty certificate: Please keep the warranty card in contacting the authorized distributors for after-sale maintenance, Fenix will provide service support to the distributors.
