The included 3400mAh is rechargeable. Uncover the anti-dust cap and plug the USB Type-C side of the charging cable into the charging port of the lamp to charge the battery. The charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L18-3400 is about 3 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5V/2A charging adapter.
Q6. How to prevent accidentally activate the HM65R-T V2.0?
Lock: With the lamp switched off, simultaneously press and hold the two switches for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink 4 times on the Eco output of warm white light mode to indicate locked status.
Unlock: With the lamp locked, simultaneously press the two switches for 3 seconds, the lamp will be activated with 4 blinks and activates on the Eco output of warm white light mode.
In locked status, clicking or pressing the switches will activate 4 blinks on the Eco output of warm white light mode to indicate locked status.
*When the charging cable is plugged in, the lamp unlocks automatically in switched-off status. The Low output of white light mode and warm white light mode can be operated while charging.
Q7. Why does the HM65R-T V2.0 downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?
There are two reasons:
1. Intelligent Overheat Protection
The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at relatively high output levels for extended periods. When the lamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the lamp will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.
2. Low-voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached.
Q8. Why does the HM65R-T V2.0 happen to flicker?
Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery (Ensure battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).
B: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
