A: Utilizes twelve Luminus SST 25 and one CT1-Mini; with a life span of 50,000 hours each.

Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.

Q5. Is there anything in particular I should be aware of while using the LR36R laser flashlight?

A: Lasers are radiant light waves that can pose certain risks to human eyes and skin if not handled properly. The laser classification of this flashlight is Class 3B. Watch out for reflected beams from glass and shiny surfaces.

Q6. Is LR36R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes. The two included ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 batteries can be charged through the USB Type-C charging port. When charging, the OLED display will automatically light up and show the current battery percentage and a charging icon to indicate the charging status. The normal charging time is about 3.5 - 4 hours from depleted to fully charged. Only the Low output of Floodlight mode can be operated while charging.

Q7. How to prevent accidentally activate the LR36R?

A: Lock: with the light unlocked, rotate the toggle switch counterclockwise to “”to turn off and lock the light. In locked status, the light will not respond to any operation except for battery level checking.

Unlock: with the light locked, rotate the toggle switch clockwise to unlock and turn on the light.

Q8. Why does the LR36R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

1. Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest brightness level is reached.

Additional question: When using the LR36R outdoors during the day, why does it go out automatically after a while, and why can't I rotate the toggle switch to adjust the brightness level?

A: The LR36R features the intelligent brightness adjustment function that measures distance based on detected infrared light. The infrared light outdoors during the day is relatively strong, which will enable the intelligent brightness downshift function of LR36R. Therefore, the flashlight will automatically downshift its brightness level.

Solution: with the light locked, press and hold the electronic switch for 6 seconds. The OLED display will show "OFF", and the light will blink eight times in the Low output of Floodlight mode, indicating that this function is disabled.

Q9. Why does the LR36R happen to flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the batteries.

2. The contact or contact point of the batteries or flashlight is dirty.  

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

Q10. What kind of batteries can be used in LR36R?

A: It is recommended to use the Fenix ARB-L21-5000 series batteries. Other Li-ion batteries are not recommended. As unmatched batteries may cause the flashlight to fail to work normally.
