A: HM65R-DT is rechargeable. Uncover the anti-dust cap and plug the USB Type-C side of the charging cable into the charging port of the lamp to charge the lamp. The charging time is about 3 hours from depleted to fully charged. When charging is complete, replace the anti-dust cap to ensure waterproof and dustproof ability.

Q6. How to prevent accidentally activate the HM65R-DT?
A: Lock: when the lamp is switched off, press and hold either of the switches for 3 seconds or simultaneously press both of the switches for 3 seconds, the warm white light will blink 4 times to indicate the locked status.
Unlock: when the lamp is locked, press and hold both of the switches for 3 seconds, the warm white light will blink 4 times to indicate unlocked status and activate on Low of warm white light mode.
In locked status, clicking or pressing the switches will activate 4 blinks on Low of warm white light mode to indicate the locked status.

Q7. Why does the HM65R-DT downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?
A: There are two reasons:
1. Intelligent Overheat Protection
The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at relatively high output levels for extended periods. When the lamp reaches a temperature of 65°C or above, the lamp will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.
2. Low-voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached.

Q8. Why does the HM65R-DT happen to flicker?
A: The reasons that may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:
A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery (Ensure battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).
B: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

A: Fenix ARB-L18-3400 battery is recommended. Compatible with 2 x CR123A batteries. Other Li-ion batteries are not recommended. As High output fail to headlamp up due to current and voltage limitation, an unmatched battery may cause the headlamp to fail to work normally.

A: 1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.

3. Lifetime maintenance: If repair is required after 5 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.
