A: The Fenix HM65R V2.0 is a lightweight, magnesium alloy headlamp engineered for harsh environments and industrial-grade operational requirements. Its key features include:

A: Uses one Luminus SST40-GEN2 LED, one Luminus SST-20F LED, and one 3535 red LED. Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.

Q5. Is HM65R V2.0 rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes. The HM65R V2.0 features a USB Type-C port for charging. The normal charging time is approximately 2.5 hours from depleted to fully charged.

Q6. How to prevent accidentally activating the HM65R V2.0?

A: Lock: With the lamp turned off, press and hold both switches at the same time for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink 4 times in Low output of Floodlight mode to indicate locked status.

Unlock: With the lamp locked, press and hold both switches at the same time for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink 4 times and remain on in Low output of Floodlight mode to indicate that the lamp is unlocked.

Note: In locked status, any operation other than unlocking will trigger 4 blinks in Low output of Floodlight mode to indicate the locked status.

Q7. Why does the HM65R V2.0 downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

  1. The headlamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 55°C or above, the headlamp will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output level is reached.

Q8. Why does the HM65R V2.0 happen to flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the headlamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

A: Low battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.

B: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty.

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

C: The headlamp is locked.

Solution: Press and hold both switches at the same time for 3 seconds to unlock the headlamp.

Q9. What kind of battery can be used in HM65R V2.0?

A: It is recommended to use the included Fenix ARB-L18-3400 battery. Additionally, other batteries from the Fenix ARB-L18 series are recommended. To ensure optimal performance, using the included battery is highly recommended. When using CR123A or 16340 batteries, it is strictly prohibited to mix batteries of different models, types, ages, capacities, or charge states. Furthermore, it is strictly prohibited to charge these batteries. When using these alternative batteries, the headlamp may experience a reduced number of brightness levels and shorter runtime.
 

Q10.What should I do when the HM65R V2.0 needs repair?

A: 1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.

2. 5-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 5 years (rechargeable battery and other accessories: 1 year) of purchase if problems develop with normal use.

3. Lifetime limited warranty: If repair is required after 5 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.

4. Warranty certificate: Please keep the warranty card in contacting the authorized distributors for after-sale maintenance, Fenix will provide service support to the distributors.
