Q1. What is the product positioning of C16? What are the key features?

A: The Fenix C16 is a multi-purpose outdoor flashlight. Its key features include:

Q2.What kind of LEDs are used in C16? Does Fenix offer to replace LEDs?

A: Uses five Luminus SST20F LEDs, one Luminus SFT70 LED, one Luminus SST-08H-UV LED, and one OSRAM GR QSSPA1.23 red LED, with a lifespan of 50,000 hours each.

Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.

Q3. What is the color temperature of C16?

A: Around 6500K.

Q4. What is the working voltage of C16?

A: 5.5V-8.4V.

Q5. Is C16 rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes. The C16 features a USB Type-C port for convenient charging. The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged. The normal charging time is approximately 2 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 9 V/ 2 A charging adapter.

Q6. How to prevent accidentally activating the C16?

A: The C16 features a lockout function to prevent accidental activation.

  1. With the light turned off, double click the electronic switch, the light will blink twice in 10-lumen floodlight to indicate the locked status.
  2. In locked status, any operation other than unlocking will activate two blinks in 10-lumen floodlight to indicate the locked status.

Note: Once unlocked, the light will activate in the lowest output of the current mode.

Q7. Why does the C16 downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

1. Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest brightness level is reached.

Q8. Why does the C16 happen to flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

A: Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge the battery.

B: The flashlight is locked.

Solution: Double click the electronic switch to unlock.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Q9. Can the C16 have its battery replaced?

A: No. The C16 is powered by a built-in battery pack that consists of two 18650 3500 mAh batteries.

Q10.What should I do when the C16 needs repair?

A: 1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.

  1. 2-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 2 years of purchase(rechargeable battery and other accessories: 1 year) if problems develop with normal use.
  2. Lifetime limited warranty: If repair is required after 2 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.
  3. Warranty certificate: Please keep the warranty card in contacting the authorized distributors for after-sale maintenance, Fenix will provide service support to the distributors.
