The WF30RE is an intrinsically safe explosion-proof flashlight intended for various areas at risk of explosion, excluding underground mines. It delivers a maximum output of 300 lumens and offers convenient USB Type-C charging via a port on the light neck. The WF30RE was certified by several explosion-proof certifications, including IECEx, ATEX, and GRGT. Therefore, this product is safe to use in explosive atmospheres classified as Zone 1 and Zone 2, as well as in combustible dust areas classified as Zone 21 and Zone 22. This includes environments such as petroleum, chemical and textile industries, firefighting, metallurgical areas, power stations, and paper plants, etc.

Q2. What kind of LED is used in WF30RE? Does Fenix offer to replace LED?

A: Utilizes one CREE XP-G3 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.

Q5. Is WF30RE rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes, the WF30RE is rechargeable with its inner waterproof USB Type-C charging port. The charging time of the included battery is about 4 hours from depleted to fully charged with the included charging adapter. During charging, please note the following precautions:

  1. Do not use in explosive atmospheres if the flashlight is with missing parts (especially for dust cap of charging socket) or the shell of it is obviously broken.
  2. Do not open and replace battery when an explosive atmosphere is present.
  3. Do not charge the battery in hazardous location.
  4. Use only the specific charger provided by the manufacturer “Fenixlight Limited.”

Q6. How to prevent accidentally activating the WF30RE?

A: The WF30RE is an explosion-proof flashlight with a maximum brightness of 300 lumens. There is no need to set up a function to prevent accidental activation. Please store this flashlight properly in a secure location.

Q7. Why does the WF30RE downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: Low-voltage Downshift

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output is reached.

Q8. Why does the WF30RE happen to flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the flashlight to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the battery. (Do NOT recharge or replace the battery in explosive atmospheres.)

2. The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty.  

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. (Do NOT open the flashlight in explosive atmospheres.)

Q9. What kind of battery can be used in WF30RE?

A: For your safety, only use a Fenix ARB-L21-3000Ex rechargeable battery. If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the flashlight could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.

Q10. What are the optional accessories for WF30RE?

A: Included lanyard and charging adapter.

Q11. How to replace the battery in the WF30RE?

A: Open the light tail with an 8 mm Allen wrench, insert a Fenix ARB-L21-3000Ex battery with the electrode towards the light head, then screw the light tail back on.

  1. Do not open the flashlight in explosive atmospheres.
  2. Do not recharge or replace the battery in explosive atmospheres.
  3. For your safety, only use a Fenix ARB-L21-3000Ex rechargeable battery.

Q12. What should I do when the WF30RE needs repair?

A: 1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.

2. 5-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 5 years (rechargeable battery and other accessories: 1 year) of purchase if problems develop with normal use.

3. Lifetime limited warranty: If repair is required after 5 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.

4. Warranty certificate: Please keep the warranty card in contacting the authorized distributors for after-sale maintenance, Fenix will provide service support to the distributors.
