Q1. What is the product positioning of HM75R? What are the key features of HM75R?
Fenix HM75R is a magnesium separation style industrial headlamp. Its key features include:
1. The headlamp can be powered by the included 3400mAh battery or the included 5000mAh battery for the power extender.
2. Made of quality magnesium alloy material, lightweight and durable.
3. Spotlight, floodlight and red light combined in one headlamp for various lighting demands in different scenarios.
4.Rotary switch and electronic switch for easy and fast operation.
Q2. What material is the lens of the HM75R made of?
High-quality PC-1250Z material.
Q3.What kinds of LEDs are used in HM75R? Does Fenix offer to replace LED?
A Luminus SST40 cold white LED, two Luminus SST20 neutral white LEDs, and an OSRAM GR QSSPA1.23 red light LED; with a lifespan of 50,000 hours each.
Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.
Q4. What is the color temperature of HM75R?
Spotlight mode: 6500K. Floodlight mode: 4000K.
Q5. What is the operating voltage of HM75R and power extender?
HM75R headlamp : 2.85 V - 7.4 V. Power extender: 3.2 V - 4.2 V.
Q6. Why is it not possible to select higher modes when the HM75R is charged by the power extender?
When using the power extender to charge the HM75R headlamp, the headlamp is charged indirectly, and the power extender is not capable of driving large currents. As a result, the actual brightness of each output depends on the charging voltage when the HM75R is charged by the power extender:
1)Only the Low output and the Med output in each mode can be operated at a 5 V charging voltage.
2)The brightness of the Turbo output is 1200 lumens in Spotlight mode and 700 lumens in Floodlight mode at a 9 V charging voltage.
*The above two descriptions still apply when the headlamp is charged by the power extender, even if the headlamp battery is inserted backward or not inserted at all.
Q7. Why does the power extender still discharge when the HM75R is fully charged?
With the light load detection function switched on, the power extender will automatically stop discharging when the headlamp is fully charged. Re-insert the Type-C plug and click the Switch B or re-insert the battery to restart discharging.
Q8. Why does the HM75R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?
There are two reasons:
1. Intelligent Overheat Protection
The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at relatively high output levels for extended periods. When the lamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the lamp will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.
2. Low-voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached.
Q9. How to prevent accidentally activate the HM75R?
Rotate the rotary switch to “
”.
Q10.Why does the HM75R happen to flicker?
Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the batteries.
B: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
If the above methods don't work, please contact the distributor.
Q11. What kind of batteries can be used in HM75R and power extender?
For the HM75R headlamp, the Fenix ARB-L18-3400 battery is recommended. For the power extender, the ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery is recommended. Other Li-ion batteries are not recommended. As High output fails to headlamp up due to current and voltage limitation, an unmatched battery may cause the headlamp to fail to work normally.
Q12. What are the optional accessories for HM75R?
ALG 03 V2.0 and ALG 04.
Q13. What should I do when the HM75R needs repair?
1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.
2. 5-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 5 years (rechargeable battery: 1 year) of purchase if problems develop with normal use.
3. Lifetime maintenance: If repair is required after 5 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.
4. Warranty certificate: Please keep the warranty card in contacting the authorized distributors for after-sale maintenance, Fenix will provide service support to the distributors.
