The Fenix E40R is a high-performance EDC flashlight designed for everyday carry, maintenance, and outdoor adventures. Fitted with four high-performance white LEDs, it delivers a maximum brightness of 5000 lumens and a maximum beam distance of 242 meters, perfectly balancing intense output with wide-area illumination. The flashlight features a triple-function toggle switch and an electronic switch. The toggle switch manages lockout, activation, and Instant Turbo, while the electronic switch controls output selection and Strobe mode. Pushing the toggle switch engages Instant Turbo for self-defense or rapid searching, and releasing it snaps the flashlight back to General mode. Engineered to prevent accidental activation, the E40R ensures safe and convenient operation. It supports Type-C fast charging and battery status indication, while its compact, lightweight body boasts an IP68 rating, a magnetic tail, and a body clip for versatile everyday and outdoor use.

Q1. What is the product positioning of E40R? What are the key features of E40R?

A: The Fenix E40R is a high-performance EDC flashlight suitable for everyday carry, maintenance work, and outdoor adventures.

Q2.What kind of LEDsare used in E40R? Does Fenix offer to replace LED?

A:Uses 4 Jingneng/TN-C7-P-P2-D LEDs. Fenix currently does not offer an LED replacement service, and users are not advised to replace the LEDs themselves, as doing so may affect the product’s performance or cause damage.

Q3. What is the color temperature of E40R?

A: Cool white light, 6500K.

Q4. What is the working voltage of E40R?

A: The operating voltage is 2.8-4.2V.

Q5. Is E40R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Simply connect the flashlight’s charging port to a power source using a USB Type-C charging cable. When using a compatible power adapter that supports 5 V/2.3 A or higher, the battery can be fully charged in as little as 1.5 hours.

Q6. Can the E40R’s Turbo mode remain on continuously?

A: No, the light only activates when the dial is held in the "turbo-mode" position; upon release, the dial automatically springs back to the standard mode.

Q7. Why does the E40R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

1. Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output is reached.

Q8. Why does the E40Rhappen to flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the batteries.

2. The contact or contact point of the batteries or flashlight is dirty.  

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Q9. What type of battery does the E40R use, and is it replaceable?

A: The E40R comes with one Fenix ARB-L21-5500 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which can be replaced. We recommend using a protected 21700 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Do not use unprotected rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.

Q10.What should I do when the E40R needs repair?

A: 1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.

2. 5-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 5 years (rechargeable battery and other accessories: 1 year) of purchase if problems develop with normal use.

3. Lifetime limited warranty: If repair is required after 5 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.

4. Warranty certificate: Please keep the warranty card in contacting the authorized distributors for after-sale maintenance, Fenix will provide service support to the distributors.
